My flaming heroes

After the astonishing show by The Flaming Lips in Tivolis concert hall, I’ve been trying to replenish all that used energy.
The show was almost a pure hit parade with wacky interludes and thoughtful songintroductions. Wayne Coyne proved his worth as the unique entertainer he has been made out to be.
If someone should not know, a Flaming Lips show is not only a band performing live music, but an explosion of colourful confetti, huge balloons bouncing amid the audience, huge musicvideos, theatre blood and a stage filled with characters like Superman, Captain America, Aliens and Santa Claus. If someone is bored, they should be ashamed and go back to their extraordinary life.
When you wake up the next day after a show like this, you wonder if people you meet during your everyday tasks is aware of what they missed just that night. Hard to imagine that most peoples nights was propably just like every other night, when yours was that exceptional.
The warmup band Midlake played a well performed show too. I especially loved the song “Balloon Maker” from their debut album Bamnan and Slivercork. A song which have been played quite a lot these last few days. Hopefully soon I will get my self together and order their latest album.
