Radio is good again

I’v never been a big fan of radio. Never liked the shitty music they played or the crappy hosts that presented it. Radio is mostly for people with bad music taste or none at all. Well, I’ve heard tales of radiostations which actually does play good music without all the annoying fuss. But here in Denmark, there has never been a decent station.

With this whole new podcasting trend comes ExtraLife and it is witty as hell. The host, Scott Johnson, is an american webcartoonist and with every show he brings a bunch of guests: Obsidian, Brian, Andrew and Mark (among others). They are one funny geeky bunch.

The show covers all sorts of geeky topics, with a strong focus on video games and technology, as well as more eclectic fair such as vintage TV and B movie coverage. The show is also designed to be funny and full of energy.

The show has been recommended to me by a good friend, Jacob Emcken, a long time ago. Since then I’ve been slowly catching up on it. I have just reached episode 50, released October 5th. They are to this date up to episode 77, so I still have quite alot of listening to do before I’m all up-to-date.

Get the RSS podcast feed here. or find it through iTunes Music Store under Podcasts. The subscription is free.

Another good podcasts is IndieFeed: Alternative / Modern Rock. Sending a new song from lesser known alternative bands every second or third day. Find it on iTunes Music Store. Subscription is… once again… free.

  1. Thanks! Really glad you dig the show! :)

  2. How dignifying is it to have Scott Johnson post a comment on my site?
