The Earth From Above
Posted: Saturday 18 February, 2006 Filed under: Posts | Tags: photography Comments OffI have been wanting to tell you all about the photoexhibit The Earth From Above for quite a while now. I saw it some weeks ago and it is really enlightening and makes you think – not to mention those incredible photos made by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The exhibit is based on his book of the same name and is made entirely by photos from it. Each photo is supplemented by a litte text, explaining the motive. Every photo is taken from Yann Arthus-Bertrands helicopter and they show motives in a way you have never seen them before. You should really check it out. The exhibit is in Copenhagen right now. See the first link for more details. It is free entrance.
When I went to see it, there was so many people that I had a hard time reading the explanation to each photo. So I bought the beforementioned book. I can only recommend it. It is big and bulky, but with good quality prints and layout. Each chapter has a nice fold-out page, which holds all the details so you can see the full page photo and text at the same time without having to flip back and fourth. Clever.
